Engineering Manager

Manage the planning and designing of methods to improve or enhance new and existing design projects. Oversees the analysis and review of budgets, schedules, design requirements and headcount to determine the most cost effective and efficient methods of engineering project completion. Ensures projects are complete on time. Acts as an advisor to design project engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.

Job Summary

  • Responsible for leading and coordinating design engineer projects/activities across engineering team
  • Designs, develops, and enhances new and existing products/product lines
  • Supports the Sales and Business Development teams by building relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Domestic and International travel to support business development and engineering activities
  • Responsible for new product and legacy designs
  • Assures accurate and current documentation in the ERP and CAD systems
  • Supports the Sales team with quoting and proposal development
  • Lead the Design Engineers Team
  • Evaluates and recommends specifications and ensures products meet the technical and functional requirements
  • Recommends and follows reliable, efficient, and cost effective procedures
  • Performs feasibility, functional, and quality testing of designs
  • Responsible for ensuring engineer team complies with AS9100, ISO 9001, internal quality policy and standards
  • Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
  • Designs products and systems to interface machines, hardware and software
  • Produce engineering documentation to support the design
  • Provide adequate information to manufacturing and purchasing to reproduce the product
  • Provide technical support to all employees and customers when needed
  • Support design reviews

Required Experience and Education

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's
    degree in Engineering
  • 4+ years experience in design or project engineering role
  • Experience in leading projects/team

U.S. Persons that comply with all U.S. Export control laws and regulation. As
such, U.S. citizenship, U.S. lawful permanent resident status, protected person

requirements is required.
