Title: Process Safety Lead
Location: McIntosh, AL

Salary: $135,000- $169,000
Schedule: 5-8's or 9/80
Relocation Available

Focus: The Process Safety Lead is responsible for leading the Process Safety Program at McIntosh Alabama. This role reports to the site EHS manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure OSHA PSM and EPA RMP compliance at the site. This includes acting as the site focal point for PSM/RMP compliance audits and ensuring effective resolution of output from those audits.

  • Collaborate with site leadership to drive continuous improvement in the process safety management system and process safety performance and culture. This includes but is not limited to effective application of leading indicators, CAPA effectiveness, and RCA effectiveness.

  • Implement strategies and accountable for effective implementation and health of process safety management systems which also includes training and mentoring/guiding of site personnel. This includes PHA work process, management of change work process, as well as all other process safety management systems.

  • Ensure implementation of Process Safety fundamentals and fully implement corporate process safety management systems.

  • Monitor/Measure/Share status and progress against process safety leading and lagging performance metrics as well as other critical process safety operational discipline elements. Collaborate with site leadership to develop and implement continuous improvement.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree* in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.

  • 7+ years of process safety experience.

  • 10+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing is preferred.

  • Prior coaching or indirect leadership experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of State/Federal OSHA PSM and EPA RMP compliance requirements.

  • Previous experience writing MOCs, participating in PHAs, PSSRs, and incident investigations. Formal training and experience leading PHAs and Incident Investigations preferred. Experience with relief device design and application of Phast software preferred.

  • Experience with implementing projects and/ or programs and collaborating with others to achieve objectives. Ability to work effectively and positively with all levels of company personnel.

  • Proficient in utilizing computer and Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Work, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license

  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
