The Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Hospitalist Program provides specialized, efficient and coordinated care for our hospitalized patients. The nocturnal hospitalist observes his or her patient's status, progress and test results up to several times, as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Main responsibilities are responding to ER calls and admitting patients in the assigned hospital(s) 7pm to 7am (number of shifts can be decided amongst the team to ensure coverage every night)
  • The nocturnal hospitalist will be required to stay in house for the duration of the shift. They will be responsible for all calls regarding admissions to Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center
  • The nocturnal hospitalist will not be the primary on Kelsey-Seybold patients admitted to the intensive care units at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center
  • Expected to efficiently manage patients in hospital and interact with specialists to coordinate the care
  • Transition the follow up care to the daytime hospitalist safely and effectively
  • Participate in hospital committees, initiatives, and KSC Hospital Service/IM Department activities

Required Qualifications:



  • Active Texas medical license
  • Internal Medicine Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation



Preferred Qualification:



  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency



The salary range for this role is $260,000 to $387,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
