Lubbock LITC Community Outreach Coordinator - Part time 41457BR School of Law Position Description Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants. Major/Essential Functions Publicizing the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) to the community through press releases, speaking appearances, and personal visits to professional organization meetings, as well as radio and television, telephone contacts, letters to various social service agencies, and any other means of educating the public on services available. Maintaining and establishing partnerships with and collaborating with outreach efforts and educational Required Qualifications High school graduation plus five years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for required experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications Two years of experience with outreach and community education to low-income community, minority, and/or English as a second language groups; Ability to communicate fluently and effectively (verbally and written) in Spanish and English is preferred but not required.
