Position Summary: This position is responsible for having extensive working knowledge and understanding of the mortgage post-closing process in the mortgage space including retail, correspondent and wholesale lending channels. Manages multiple tasks and responsibilities on a daily basis and must have an understanding of mortgage functions, including: origination, loan processing, closing, underwriting, post-closing and secondary markets. Must have thorough knowledge of investor delivery and insuring/guaranty requirements for Fannie, FHA, and VA. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for requesting and shipping loan files according to the requirements of the investor. Responsible for paying Upfront MIP (FHA) and VA Funding Fee when applicable and obtaining FHA Mortgage Insurance Certificate and VA Loan Guaranty. 2. Works with correspondents and brokers to ensure loans are purchased by TDECU within the time frame provided by secondary. Responsible for importing data and ensuring a complete loan file prior to submission for pre-purchase review. 3. Researches and stays abreast of changes to loan delivery requirements and works effectively with other departments to implement necessary changes. 4. Works effectively with the Servicing Team on servicing transfers related to loans sold by us or purchased by us from another lender. 5. Performs post-closing duties to include, but not limited to, document tracking, ensuring loan package completion and compliance. 6. Prepares loan data exception reports and works effectively with Fulfillment team to resolve investor stipulations. 7. Manages all reports as they relate to loans we delivered and loans delivered to us, suspense and trailing documentation to ensure the tracking of all files. Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Education * High School Diploma or equivalent experience. Experience * 5-7+ years experience in post-closing conventional, government, and construction residential mortgage loans required, experience posting closing retail, correspondent, wholesales channels preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Demonstrated experience in post-closing for Conventional, FHA, VA, and Construction loans, experience with managing multiple channels preferred. * Working knowledge of Conventional, VA, FHA and Construction mortgage guidelines and investor requirements and mortgage regulations, including RESPA, TILA, flood, and appraisal requirements. * Passion for accuracy.
