B2B EDI Developer II - IBM Sterling Integrator The IT Developer II will be a key member of our B2B EDI Development team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, including map development (X12/EDIFACT/XML) and business process (BP) configuration The Developer will collaborate closely with cross-functional Business partners and multiple teams across the IT Department.
  • B2B Integration Development - Design, develop, and support B2B/EDI integrations using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, including map development (X12/EDIFACT/XML) and business process (BP) configuration, to enable secure, scalable, and reliable data exchange across enterprise systems.
  • Partner Onboarding & Management- Collaborate with trading partners and internal stakeholders to onboard new partners, configure secure communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, VAN), and ensure data compliance with partner specifications.
  • System Monitoring & Issue Resolution - Monitor EDI transaction flows using dashboards and proactive alerting tools. Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to maintain high system performance and reliability.
  • Documentation & Continuous Improvement - Document integration logic, partner onboarding procedures, transaction maps, and system configurations. Contribute to retrospectives, post-mortems, and process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Continuously enhance job knowledge by exploring state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and industry trends.
  • Communicate proactively with internal and external partners.
  • Participate in scheduled and off-hours support rotations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 4+ Years - Software development experience
    • 3+ Years - IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, including map development (X12/EDIFACT/XML) and business process (BP) configuration
    • 1+ Years - Experience building scalable APIs/microservices with demonstrated understanding of architectural patterns

  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 1+ Years - Cloud technologies experience (Azure preferred, AWS acceptable)
    • 1-2 Years - Hands-on experience applying AI/ML techniques within engineering or integration workflows (e.g., intelligent monitoring, error handling, or code generation), with demonstrated practical understanding and implementation
    • 1-2 Years - Experience in Python development
    • Experience managing technical projects and/or working in roles requiring substantial cross-team collaboration

Education

  • Minimum Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Preferred:
    • Master's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
