Main Duties & Responsibilities

Principal Responsibilities

Responsible for sales / business development activities globally including
account maintenance with a focus on aggressive organic growth of sales at
strategic, growth and prospective customers. Accountability for the overall
commercial relationship with customer accounts and participation in the
development of strategic planning with the TriMas Aerospace team. Key focus
will be on meeting and exceeding the organizational growth plan set forth by
the Company for the fiscal year. This position is based in El Cajon,
California.

Duties
-Plan, organize, implement and control a variety of interrelated sales and
marketing activities required to ensure maximum market penetration for products
or capabilities of the Company.
-Directs the development of company sales and business
development programs.
-Responsible for assessment of existing and potential
markets, product lifecycle planning, coordination of technical product
development, development of product strategies, definition of promotional
activities and product launch. Lead cross functional teams.
-Plan and develop sales and marketing strategy, and review
and recommend such strategy to management for consideration and acceptance.
-Develop and implement tactics to carry out sales and
marketing objectives through accepted strategy. Devise, develop and implement
participation in trade shows and exhibits.
-Direct the preparation of proposals from a technical and
commercial standpoint. Participate in contract negotiations and contract
definition.
-Monitor daily quote activity with customers/prospects.
Participate in all major pricing decisions (i.e. catalogs, individual RFQ's,
proposals)
-Selects, develops, and evaluates other customer facing
personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
-This position will direct any personnel in the preparation
of technical literature, data sheets, etc., describing the Company's products
and capabilities through in-house or external sources.
-Ability to set priorities for a cross functional team that
has an indirect reporting relationship.
-Organize and conduct training programs and seminars for any
customer, internal team or future sales force. Maintain current knowledge of
the status of competition and disseminate such information to appropriate areas
of management.
-Make pricing recommendations/decisions on products based on
customer responses and reactions gleaned from field sales information. Track
pricing goals.
-Pro-actively resolve customer concerns and escalate as
necessary in support of building and maintaining high levels of Customer
Satisfaction.
-Continuous improvement of business unit and enterprise
processes.
-Hold productive team meetings with clear action items and
deliverables.
-Support annual budget and periodic forecast process.
-Participate and lead team of internal sales for
efficient and accurate order management

This role is required to be on-site 2-3 days at the El Cajon, CA location.

Qualifications

Minimum Education/Experience
-Bachelor's degree with at least 3-5 years of sales and marketing experience. Familiar with a
variety of sales and marketing concepts, practices and procedures
-Aerospace industry experience, working with
commercial and/or military customers and MRO
-Strong financial acumen
-Excellent communication and people skills are mandatory.
-Presentation experience is required.
-Experience with program proposals, cost and schedule control, program
budgeting and forecasting
-Able to read and understand engineering drawings

Compensation

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $115,000-$138,000.

Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses. Further details will be provided by our recruiting team during the interview process.
