Your Role

Gensler's San Jose office is looking for a multi-talented Technical Designer to join our growing Advanced Tech team. We are looking for a candidate with experience in the design and delivery of advanced-tech, new development architecture projects-whether for dry labs, server rooms, clean room, industrial infrastructure, or other complex designs. You will be a key team member to help expand our capabilities in support of our client's aggressive expansion initiatives, working with our global and regional leaders to lead internal and external project teams and grow client relationships. The ideal candidate will be adept in the design and technical elements of project delivery and production.

You will leverage your technical acumen and Revit skills to drive client projects from concept through build in a collaborative team. Your role is critical in the design and delivery of world-class dry lab projects. What You Will Do

  • Contribute to our architectural design process in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and production

  • Coordinate architectural design documents with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives

  • Create graphic presentations, 3d models and renderings, and design drawings

  • Research and specify materials, building systems, and products

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, or equivalent

  • 2 - 5 years of related architectural project experience

  • Excellent in digital modeling using Revit

  • Excellent at preparing presentation material using PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

  • Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codes

  • State licensure and LEED accreditation a plus

  • Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and parametric design software

  • Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills

**The base salary will be estimated between $75,000 - $90,000 annually plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
