If so, join the Photoshop team to lead a motivated group of developers who are delivering UI improvements and foundational architectural changes. We are seeking an exceptional Engineering Manager who excels in supporting both users and developers.

What you'll Do
  • Manage a team of engineers to support the transformation of Photoshop's legacy UI with an updated framework, architecture, and a fresh look
  • Help evolve Adobe's shared UI technology for Photoshop and other flagship product's needs
  • Support efforts to identify and address architectural improvements in Photoshop's codebase
  • Build exceptional experiences for our customers and developers
  • Mentor aspiring technical leaders, setting high bars for excellence in architecture, code design and process

  • Ensure the daily work of developers is prioritized, efficient and aligned with evolving business goals
  • Handle project scope and risks with data, analytics and creative problem solving
  • Work closely with teams and managers across Adobe, solving internal and cross-organization roadblocks
Who you are
  • A good communicator: You articulate engineering processes, progress, and goals at the correct altitude for different audiences
  • Proactively organized: You have the right answer at the right time for your team and for your managers, rallying others through technical and operational roadblocks
  • Pragmatic: You prioritize, simplify, and act quickly to create a path forward, rather than insist on perfection or focus on problems rather than solutions
  • Humble: You check your ego at the front door and are a team-player interested in what's best for the customer, the product, the team, and the company, rather than in building your own empire
  • An empathetic mentor: You care deeply about people and enjoy growing technical and soft skills through tactful yet candid feedback
What you need to succeed
  • 5+ years as a software engineer
  • 3+ years as an engineering manager
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • A strong background in related hands-on software development and software architecture, with the ability to sympathize with and understand developers, speaking from personal experience
  • Ability to thrive in a highly complex environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to get in the trenches whenever needed, rather than just cheer from the sidelines!
  • Knowledge and passion for Photoshop or other Adobe products!
