Water Resources Project Manager

Dewberry is seeking a Water Resources Project Manager for our growing water resources engineering practice within our Rancho Cordova, CA office. This is an opportunity for an individual with technical experience and business acumen to become part of a renowned team of professionals working in a productive environment and applying the latest technology to a wide variety of water/wastewater and water resources engineering projects. This position will encompass all aspects of water resources engineering services with an emphasis on resilience, and will include project management, sub-consultant management, quality control, marketing and client interface. Additionally, this position will require the development and review of technical reports, proposals, contract documents, resources studies, computer modeling and data analysis.

Manage contracts, project scope, progress reporting, schedule, resources, and budget.
• Train, coach and mentor water/wastewater and water resources department staff.
• Lead business development and marketing with local client base and maintain strong client relationships.
• Lead all interaction with sub-consultants for water resources projects.
• Perform technical calculations and review of work done by staff.
• Prepares scope, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
• Assists with proposals to provide professional services.

• Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree preferred) in civil engineering, environmental engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of escalating professional experience in planning, design and construction of water infrastructure; however exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered.
• PE License in California is required.
• Project Management expertise in local level contracts.
• High competency levels in multiple engineering disciplines, integrated modeling, hydrology, hydraulics, master planning, feasibility studies, stormwater design, conveyance systems design, hydraulic structures, stormwater management, and utility development.
• Experience managing a team of professionals with a wide array of skill sets, work with project teams and provide planning, technical leadership, and coordination with supporting technical disciplines to complete integrated design.
• Proven ability to effectively achieve positive results in marketing and business development including experience preparing technical and cost proposals for municipal and private clients.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

The projected range for this position is $110,000-$160,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
