In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and testing software systems that enhance existing products and bring new solutions to life. In addition, you will work closely with a cross-functional team to deliver high quality, well tested code - on time and with impact.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversees, either directly or through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of departmental or sectional activities for outcomes, including cost efficiency, operational methods and effective staffing
  • Mentors, coaches, and deeply contributes to the career development of your team and others
  • As a manager, you will support and advocate for your software engineering staff through career planning, training, timely performance feedback, formal performance appraisals, program staffing, and application of Software Engineering process and best practices
  • Leads delivery of major initiatives on clear timelines
  • Proactive in identifying roadblocks for your team
  • Partners effectively outside of your area to manage projects
  • Works to develop holistic perspective on the organization, its vision and its activities
  • Builds a strong culture of open communication, where teammates can ask questions without fear, and speak comfortably about any topics
  • Supervise an autonomous, cross-functional team responsible for delivering timely, high-quality, and well-tested code
  • Coach technical leads and individual contributors to consistently and successfully deliver high quality work
  • Work with Product Managers to ensure timely releases and well-tested features
  • Have frequent interaction with direct reports to address matters related to customers, functional areas, and other company divisions or units
  • Perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs (required)
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree inComputer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years' experience building full stack applications using modern frameworks, robust testing practices and application monitoring tools
  • 5+ years managing engineering teams
  • The ability to execute a project based on our priorities, context, risks and desired outcomes
  • The ability to provide guidance, support, and coaching to your functional group through regular employee one-on-ones
  • A skillset working to cultivate a caring culture that promotes belonging, all-around well-being, and equity on your team by leading inclusively
  • The ability to mentor, encourage, engage, and retain high potential employees to support the customers and the product teams
  • Supportive staffing for your group including interviewing candidates, assisting with hiring and staffing decisions, and facilitating employee onboarding programs
  • Skills with developing employee goals, monitoring employee performance, providing performance feedback and supporting group compensation management
  • Experience with employee coaching, training, and counseling, and promoting and enforcing company ethics policies
  • The capability to identify and develop critical skills that align with your employees' interests and are required to meet program area business objectives
  • Experience contributing to continuous improvement activities to improve the software engineering organization, and the company at large to ensure adoption within the organization
  • Strong leadership skills that can attract, engage, and retain talent

Pay Range: $145,000 - $193,325 Annually

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
