Summary:

Cook Children's Talent Acquisition Navigator will provide excellent experiences to all new hires and internal transfers while also managing onboarding processes for the Talent Acquisition recruiters assigned to them. As our Navigator, you will oversee the background check process, manage the internal transfer cross-boarding events, collect CPR cards, get copies of needed I-9 documents and licenses, and help with new hire paperwork. You will act as a resource for all new hires and internal transfers, which includes answering questions in regard to onboarding, cross-boarding, paperwork, and orientation. Your role as a Navigator includes distributing materials to the new hire, such as job descriptions and orientation information, in your role as back-up to our Employment Assistant in the pre-employment office. You will also help the recruiters by creating new hire checklists, printing off new hire checklists and applications, doing new hires and internal transfers background checks, checking for drug screens results, launching events in our onboarding system, setting up-employment appointments for new hires, checking for completed drug screens and helping recruiters source for open jobs. Navigator helps answer the HR departments phone tree, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred

  • Human Resources experience preferred

  • Three years /business office administration or Human Resources experience required with progressive responsibilities.

  • Software experience to include Microsoft Office, Outlook and the ability to learn new software including HRIS and ERP systems

  • Excellent organizational, telephone and communication skills

  • Critical thinking skills

  • Ability to make appropriate job decisions, while following policy and procedures

  • Provides excellent customer service to internal and external candidates

  • Bilingual/Spanish, a plus
