Description: NSI requires an Avionics Structural Engineer to support PMA 201 Aerial Refueling Stores Program Office. The Aviation Structural Engineer will support design, analysis, inspection, and modification of military and/or commercial aircraft structures. Possess strong experience in aerospace structural systems, repair design, and fatigue and damage tolerance analysis. This role requires working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support aircraft maintenance, modification, and production efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, analyze, and validate aircraft structural components and assemblies

* Develop structural repair procedures and engineering drawings for aviation systems

* Conduct stress, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis using analytical and numerical tools.

* Evaluate airworthiness, structural integrity, and compliance with NSI, DoD, or Military standards

* Perform root cause analysis for structural failures or discrepancies

* Provide technical support to manufacturing, maintenance, and field teams

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality, production, and program management

* Prepare and present engineering documentation, including reports and briefings

Location: Miramar, CA

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, or Structural Engineering. Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field Preferred.

Experience: At least 5+ years of experience in aircraft structural engineering. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and finite element analysis (FEA) tools. Knowledge of industry standards. Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with composite structures and bonded repairs

* Familiarity with OEM structural manuals (e.g., SRM, AMM, CMM)

* Experience with legacy military aircraft or depot-level structural work

Security Clearance: Secret Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
