Position Summary: The Associate Director of Advising and Student Success supports the Director of Advising and Student Success with strategy implementation, manages personnel, and oversees student success tasks to help ensure Yeshiva University undergraduate students are properly supported and set up for academic and social-emotional success. The Associate Director supports the Director in managing academic advisors from our undergraduate schools. This position will have management responsibilities with the Starfish platform, case management of students at risk, oversight of the annual student experience survey, and data tracking and reporting. The associate director's work supports the director in YU's ongoing efforts to improve student retention and completion rates and ensures exceptional support for all users of the Starfish platform.
Position Responsibilities: * Assist the Director in overseeing the academic advising office.
* Manage registration operations, including regular data reporting and liaising with admissions and the University Registrar
* Assist the Director to improve retention and graduation rates and progress reports
* Manage the at-risk meetings, assign follow up responsibilities, and monitor progress of at-risk students
* Manage the peer tutoring programs
* Administer and manage the daily operations of YU's student success technology platform (currently Starfish by EAB), including routine support and troubleshooting for students, faculty, and staff; management of user roles and privileges; platform configuration and workflow customization; system status monitoring; and data reporting
* Manage starfish flags and ensure proper referrals and follow through.
* Manage and implement routine Starfish surveys.
* Assist the Director with following up on students in need of support and guidance, helping them access the most appropriate support available
* Manage student success platform efforts, and subsequent system upgrades, by participating on planning and implementation teams or committees as needed
* Monitor withdrawals, leaves of absences and exit interviews
* Implement programming for students at risk as well as at risk groups.
* Assist the Director in managing and developing strategies to ensure students close to graduation are supported and assisted to complete their graduation requirements.
* Support the Office of Student Affairs with other related duties as assigned
Experience & Education Background: * Experience as an academic advisor and managing a team of advisors
* Excellent knowledge of Starfish, and the administrator backend.
* Excellent data analysis and Excel skills
* Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience in higher education with a history of academic advising and a focus on student success, or equivalent experience

* Continually search for ways to increase satisfaction of faculty, students, staff and other constituents
* Ensure personnel and departments performance is consistent with University strategic and operational objectives and standards

* Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
* Leadership, hiring, training, and budget experience
* Ability to deal with a university population at all levels
Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000
