Job Summary *The individual will be responsible for managing all Rochester Manufacturing activities for the QA and QC functions (including food safety) to ensure that the Rochester site complies with corporate, divisional and local guidelines and procedures.*This individual is also responsible for implementing and maintaining the integrated quality management system based on all applicable Quality & Food Safety standard. * Manage Rochester Manufacturing activities for the quality control and quality management (including food and feed safety) functions. * Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of integrated quality and food safety systems and programs based on applicable standards like FSSC 22000, FAMI-QS, NSF Dietary Ingredients for supplements and various Food Safety GMP requirements for the site according to division and company strategy. Ensure that guidelines and procedures are followed effectively. * Communicate externally any information concerning food/feed safety. * Promotes awareness of customer requirements concerning food/feed safety. * Manage the hold, quarantine, and release program for all raw materials, intermediates, and finished products within the region including: * Management of disposition decisions on non-conforming products such as those products with out-of-specification QC results, those products which are expired or aged, and those products which have been returned by customers. * Participation in early release decisions regarding product shipments to customers prior to QC testing completion. * Manage/collaborate in quality-related audits including: * Internal audits used to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, GMPs, and programs. * External quality-related audits conducted by outside agencies, regulatory authorities, or by specific customers. * Vendor audits in cooperation with purchasing. * Manage the food/feed safety management system (including implementation and verification of tools like HACCP) on a daily basis within the site according to corporate/divisional guidelines. Role of Food Safety Team Leader. * Account for budget, cost control, and associated production expenses within the quality control and quality assurance departments. * Ensure communication within a global matrix relative to departmental objectives and performance. * Apply IFF's Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures at the site. * In conjunction with IT, responsible for application/data ownership of computer systems, as designated. This includes existing and/or new implementation(s) of applications, user application training, and user authority in the application. Also responsible for accuracy and timeliness of data entry, data processing of transactions, and related functions (individually or performed by staff). * Overall site responsibility for SAP QM module. * Maintain regular attendance. * Acts in compliance with all company policies including, but not limited to: Quality, Safety, Food/Feed Safety, Environmental, GMPs, Dietary Supplements, and HACCP-HARPC * Responsible for adherence to all quality systems including ISO 22000 Food Safety, FAMI-QS and NSF Dietary Supplements with an understanding of IFF/Danisco Corporate Quality policies and procedures * Responsible to complete training and perform qualified individual tasks according to site's Food/Feed Safety Plan.
