Description
Summary / Position Purpose: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented eCommerce UI/UX Designer to join our growing Digital team. This role will be responsible for designing seamless, visually appealing and conversion-optimized user interfaces for our eCommerce websites. This role combines user-centered design thinking with a deep understanding of eCommerce best practices to enhance our customers' shopping experience. Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:
- Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity mockups for responsive web and mobile eCommerce experiences
- Ensure designs uphold brand standards and take accessibility (WCAG) into account
- Identify pain points and propose UX improvements based on real user data
- Work side by side with Digital Product Owners and Front-End Developer to ensure seamless implementation of designs
- Presenting wireframes, mockups and prototypes to non-designer stakeholders
- Indirectly and directly responsible for product quality
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of UI/UX experience, preferably within an eCommerce environment (B2B eCommerce experience is a bonus)
- Demonstrated experience working in an Agile environment using tools like Jira, leading design review sessions and collaborating effectively with both stakeholders and development teams
- Strong portfolio demonstrating eCommerce design work across desktop and mobile
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch and Photoshop
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive frameworks (not required to code, but helpful for communication)
- Experience working within CMSs such as Optimizely Configured Commerce, Shopify, Magento, etc...
- Familiarity with analytics and A/B testing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Crazy Egg, Optimizely)
- Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative and multiple team agile environment(s)
- Comfortable communicating design decisions in cross-functional teams
- Maintain a balanced approach by staying open to feedback from usability testing, customer support and stakeholders, while upholding user-centered design principles and industry best practices
- Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills to effectively navigate constraints such as legacy systems, existing page templates and mobile limitations
