Position Summary
Provides consultation, education and professional support for Hospitalwide and departmental quality improvement programs, projects and initiatives. Educates and advises on methods, tools and techniques for monitoring and assessing quality of care and compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements. Provides support for implementation and evaluation of hospital and unit/department based quality improvement programs and serves as project manager for designated programs/projects. Designs and administers customer surveys and analyzes, interprets and presents results.

Key responsibilities

  • Serves on the Pediatric Transplant Center Quality Leadership Committee, supporting QAPI efforts across all five organ programs.
  • Leads regulatory preparedness activities, including QAPI projects, metrics, and adverse event management.
  • Participates in on-site regulatory surveys for transplant quality.
  • Facilitates all quality-related meetings and projects for the Pediatric Transplant Center.
  • Develops and delivers staff education programs based on identified learning needs.
  • Consults with departments on care monitoring tools, compliance with standards, and quality evaluation methods.
  • Supports hospital committees and projects through data collection, analysis, and group facilitation.
  • Manages hospital quality improvement projects, overseeing planning, execution, training, and evaluation.
  • Analyzes data and provides recommendations to improve care; develops and maintains supporting databases.
  • Responds to data requests from insurers and external organizations; engages with industry committees to share insights.
  • Stays current on industry trends through professional organizations and continuing education.

Minimum qualifications
Education:

  • Master's Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Management or a closely related field required

Experience:

  • Two years of data management experience in a clinical setting is required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience in data management may substitute.
  • Analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in depth, experienced based knowledge.
  • Communication skills in order to persuade and negotiate with others on important matters.
