The Database Manager works with US Forest Service (USFS) staff to ensure data is entered into the database of record in a timely manner and is quality controlled. Ensures up to date data are available for communication to leadership and oversight at all levels of the Forest Service and USDA. Works with partners to ensure they receive proper training on database management and consistently update appropriate databases. The Database Manager will routinely utilize ESRI products and USFS Forest Activity Tracking System (FACTS) to support the mission of the Plumas National Forest (PNF) and associated Protect projects. The Contractor shall provide day to day support to the PNF. Work will be primarily remote with in-person meetings scheduled, as needed.

Works with USFS staff to ensure data are entered into the database of record in a timely manner and are quality controlled
Ensures up to date data are available for communication to leadership and oversight at all levels of the Forest Service and USDA
Works with external partners/contractors to ensure they received proper training on database management and consistently update appropriate databases
Performs problem investigations, defines alternatives, and determines resolution
Provides support in a timely manner to staff and managers as needed staying within the guidelines of the network infrastructure
Provide required reports, maps and statistical data utilizing ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and FACTS
Must perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of management.

Education	Bachelor's degree required
Experience	Two (2) years ArcGIS required. Three (3) years Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping technology required. Five (5) years Database management required.
License, Cert or Registration	Applicable Microsoft certifications are highly desired
Special knowledge, skills, & abilities	Proficient with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online Ability to learn new data management software, specifically FACTS Some experience in natural resource management or forestry preferred Functions well as a part of a multi-disciplined team. Displays excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Possesses ability to communicate with management, application users, programmers, and other technical staff and to interact with all levels of an organization throughout the range of user skills in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner. Maintains attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality. Possesses strong organizational skills. Exhibits ability to multi-task.
