Logistician

VTG is seeking a Logistician to provide support to our Navy Customer located in San Diego, CA.

• Administer all aspects of Integrated Product Support (IPS), in accordance with the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) IPS Element Guidebook, to include Product Support Management (PSM), Design Interface, Sustainment Engineering, Supply Support, Maintenance Planning and Management, and Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T).
• Provide support in the areas of Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) and Logistics Product Data (LPD) processes.
• Make recommendations and prepare metrics to ensure fleet training requirements are met.
• Brief military and government civilian officials on relevant logistics and production issues.
• Coordinate with planning yards, warfare centers and AITs, to pro-actively resolve design and production problems as they arise.
• Prepare logistics briefings, plans, concept papers, white papers, meeting minutes and action item reports, and other required logistics documentation.
• Coordinate and facilitate logistics meetings including Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Advisory Groups, Change Boards, Program Logistics Reviews, and Working Groups.
• Support various logistics processes and planning efforts including Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Life Cycle Cost Estimates, Integrated Logistics Assessments, Fielding Plans, Disposal Plans, and Manpower and Training documentation.
• Support the development and maintenance of acquisition logistics documentation including configuration management plan, product support strategy, and supply lists.
• Evaluate logistics policies, procedures, and planning to identify methods in which to improve the availability of required logistical support.

• High School Diploma / GED
• Bachelors Degree in a related field is preferred
• Seven (7) or more years of related experience is preferred
• Active Secret Clearance is required.
• Forklift Certified

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting annual salary range is $70,000 - 90,000, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
