Ariadne Labs is a joint center for health systems innovation at Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Our goal is to drive scalable solutions for better care at critical moments in people's lives everywhere. Better care means better health outcomes, lower costs, and more actual caring. Critical means solving health systems failures that have major impact, typically touching people by the millions. Ariadne Labs currently has research programs in the areas of childbirth, surgery, palliative care, and primary health care.
The vision of the Delivery Decisions Initiative (DDI) at Ariadne Labs is a world in which every person can choose to start or grow their family with dignity. During the universally vulnerable period in people's lives that spans pregnancy to parenthood, families deserve care that is safe, supportive and empowering. We draw from a broad range of expertise to bring systems thinking to this challenge. The intern will work with the Delivery Decisions Initiative (DDI), a team dedicated to ensuring that every person can choose to start or grow their family with dignity through safe, supportive, and empowering care. The intern will contribute to the finalization of key project materials, including the development of design and testing processes and tools for our doula-related work. This role includes close collaboration with a range of members of the DDI team as well as other teams at the Lab, including the Communications team, to integrate feedback into public-facing materials and support alignment with DDI's vision. The intern will also assist in developing qualitative research tools such as focus group discussion guides and interview materials, with a particular focus on engaging doulas and other key stakeholders.
