Conducts studies to determine the most efficient sequence of production and workflow. Recommends methods to maximize the utilization of equipment and personnel. Responsibilities:
- Experience with sheet metal and frame manufacturing.
- Experience with project management tools and software.
- Vertical Integration - implement current processes.
- Equipment recommendations, bring in the equipment, develop/establish the materials and processes.
- Management of projects, e.g. lead project teams, creating project plans, and managing project execution, including timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, systems and components.
- Proficiency in project management software and mechanical design tools.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with project teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality mechanical projects.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make decisions in dynamic project environments.
- Knowledge of environmental and sustainability practices in mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
- Proficiency in project design and planning, management, costing and documentation.
- Familiarity with industrial automation, robotics, and control systems is a plus.
- This role is very hands-on.

- Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and manufacturing and quality data to verify efficient utilization of operators and equipment.
- Monitor and continuously improve production output to time standard performance.
- Coordinate line layout, workstation and warehouse improvement activities.
- Designs and procures production tooling, fixtures, equipment and workstations to support high productivity and utilization of resources.
- Creates Process instructions including Visual Aids, Checklists, and ISO procedures.
- Prepares time studies for current products and estimates for proposed products.
- Reduces or eliminate non-value added activities and waste using Lean methodologies.
- Encourages site Lean engagement at all levels within the organization through close alignment and support of the site's Lean Leader, Functional Management and General Manager.
- Supports Lean VSM activity and site continuous improvement activities.
- Monitors and reduces scrap created at manual processes by monitoring quality data and taking corrective action to reduce or eliminating root cause.
- Adheres to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
