What role will you play?

In this role, you will oversee independent valuation processes for energy assets, collaborating with senior staff across Front Office, Risk Management, and Finance to gain deep insights into Macquarie's traded products and markets. Key responsibilities include executing valuation processes, developing and implementing robust methodologies and control frameworks, and delivering insightful reports and analysis to stakeholders. This role offers opportunities to lead projects, enhance valuation frameworks, and contribute to the efficiency of financial controls in the energy trading sector.



What you offer

  • Strong knowledge of valuation techniques (e.g., DCF, Comparable Analysis, Asset-based Valuation), derivatives, and risk management concepts, particularly within the energy sector.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with automation and database tools is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (MBA, CFA, or advanced degree preferred) with several years of relevant experience in valuation, finance, or accounting.
  • Familiarity with accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS), regulatory requirements, and a solid understanding of energy markets, products, and technologies (including renewables).
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects independently, and excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
