The Infection Control/Employee Health RN is responsible for creating and coordinating the activities of the Infection Prevention Plan and the Infection Control Department, assuring direct responsibility for infection surveillance and reporting, and providing technical support and education for the hospital staff. RN is also responsible for the 24 hour operational management of the Employee Health Program at Friend's Hospital. Responsible for assisting the CNO in evaluating; reviewing, designing and implementing hospital training events with respect to all Nursing staff required training.

The ICN meets to inform, educate and follow-up with patients with STI's and reportable diagnosis. The ICN has also supported EAT with providing groups on infection control topics.

Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; BSN preferred. Two year inpatient psychiatric experience with adults, adolescents and/or children preferred. One year of progressive experience in management and/or supervision, preferred. Two years' experience in infection control preferred.
