Position Title: Quality Technician

Position Overview:

Conduct thorough inspections of products to ensure they meet specified standards before they are shipped to customers. The position requires reading blueprints, conducting first article inspections, and ensuring overall product quality throughout the manufacturing process. The candidate should possess quality control experience and have a background in fasteners.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Product Inspection:

- Inspect products prior to shipment to ensure they meet quality standards.

- Conduct in-process testing to monitor product quality at various stages of production.

2. Blueprint Reading:

- Read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents to verify product specifications.

- Confirm understanding and execution of blueprints during the interview process.

3. First Article Inspection:

- Perform first article inspections on initial production runs to ensure compliance with specifications.

- Document findings and communicate any discrepancies to the production team.

4. Floor Walks:

- Walk the production floor regularly to monitor machine performance and workflow.

- Identify and report any issues affecting product quality or equipment functionality.

5. Final Inspection:

- Conduct final inspections of products before packaging and shipping.

- Ensure all products meet quality assurance standards and customer requirements.

6. Torque Testing:

- Participate in torque testing processes (training will be provided).

- Understand testing procedures to assess product integrity and safety.

7. Quality Control Documentation:

- Maintain thorough documentation of inspections, tests, and quality control measures.

- Assist in creating and updating quality control procedures and standards.

8. Collaboration:

- Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality-related issues.

- Provide feedback for continuous improvement of product quality and manufacturing processes.

9. Adherence to Safety Standards:

- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines during inspections and testing procedures.

- Report any safety hazards observed on the production floor.

10. Complete other duties as assigned.
