Potentially up to $10,000 Sign-On bonus available for those meeting eligibility requirements FTE: Days Shift: 1.0 Schedule: Mon-Wed Position Summary The CT Tech ensures optimal safety, quality, satisfaction, engagement, compliance, operations, staffing, processes, efficiency, training and mentoring. The CT Tech provides oversight of clinical operations and provides critical frontline support to patients. The CT Tech establishes proper handoff procedures between staff, ensures consistency for care delivery, and provides schedules reports to Imaging leaders. This role performs a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. The position uses ingenuity, initiative, and independent judgement to perform high quality scans.
Essential Functions
- Ensures patient, caregiver, and guest safety and satisfaction in accordance with existing principles and standards.
- Ensures provisions of high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services in an efficient manner.
- Promotes caregiver engagement and team initiatives.
- Maintains positive relationships within the department and facility, including other departments, radiologists, referring physicians, and customers.
- Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
- Performs examinations per department protocol.
- Understands cross sectional anatomy and demonstrates anatomical positioning competency.
- Demonstrates ability to critique own films.
- Completes studies within acceptable time limitations without compromising patient care or the quality of the examination.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of protocol relating to contrast administration.
- As ordered by the physician and under radiologist or physician supervision administers oral barium products or intravenous contract material to patients.
- Practices appropriate infection control and sterile techniques.
- Understands and operates CT equipment and related information systems to ensure that quality images are produced.
- Exhibits a working knowledge of contract injectors and laser printers.
- Exhibits understanding and proficiency with electronic imaging. Incumbents will be able to view, transfer and manipulate images.
- Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.
- Follows appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding and charging, obtaining consents if necessary, documenting any events that may occur for quality.
Requirements
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Radiology)
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) preferred
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) within six (6) months of hire into this classification
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (MRI) within twelve (12) months of hire into this classification
- Certified with the State of Washington Department of Health as a Radiologic Technologist
- IV certified
- Current BLS Certification
- Three years of CT experience

Pay and Benefit Expectations We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $45.17 - $65.01 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
