The Field Support Center in Tucker, Georgia serves each GMS location, providing the support needed to enable local teams to deliver outstanding service to contractors and builders in their local communities.

Position Summary:
The Network Manager is responsible for managing the collaborative design, development, support, implementation and management of the GMS network and network team services. Responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day support of the network infrastructure, performance monitoring, network metrics, network team projects and deliverables. This position is accountable for alignment of IT priorities and resources with business direction, timeline, and budget commitments.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and manage the network infrastructure, including components such as switches, routers, waps, and other networking devices.
- Line Management of the company's IT network staff, including holding regular appraisals.
- Strategic planning (medium and long term) based on company objectives to keep in line with new developments in IT.
- Firewall administration and overall internal network security.
- Managing Network ticketing queue and timely resolution of tickets with team.
- Maintenance of remote location network connectivity to datacenters and monitoring their performance.
- Planning and monitoring of scheduled network maintenance to keep devices current and secured.
- Project Management for network projects working with other teams to meet business timelines and application requirements.
- Financial Planning, including managing the relevant IT budget and providing costing for all future developments and upgrades that are network related.
- Review monthly circuit and network costs and run rates vs. what has been contracted.
- After hours and weekend support escalations.
- Establish and maintain an on-call rotation for the network team.
- Occasional travel to remote locations for network related tasks and escalations such as company acquisitions, significant network outage resolution, significant maintenance events requiring the team's involvement.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer systems or related IT field required
- Minimum of 5 years of related network management experience required
- Minimum of 10 years of related network related position experience required
- Demonstrated knowledge of operating systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of LAN / WAN / WIFI knowledge and TCP / IP protocols
- Demonstrated knowledge of major networking components, network operating systems and basic computer hardware components
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management in a network setting

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment 90% of the time.
- Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
