Associate/Mid Level - Project Controls Specialist
Location Information: They would be required to be onsite at Millstone Power Station, 4 days onsite. 4 -10 schedule. After time would be open to adding a remote day if approved by Department Manager Wiling to review non-local candidates needing per diem? * Looking for local candidates only! Will this candidate be dealing with Private Personal Information (PPI), Company Sensitive Information, or Credit Sensitive Information? Yes Responsibilities * Assist with Capital Projects annual budget, monthly forecasts, and rider filing data. * Gather and analyze financial data pertaining to labor support for large, long-term capital projects. * Investigate variances with actual costs. * Requires knowledge of GAAP (General Accepted Accounting Principles) required for month-end liabilities and reporting. * Implements internal control policy and procedures. * Serves as a liaison between the project management team and various internal groups, such as station departments * Ability to develop Ad Hoc MS Excel models to summarize large data sets. * Ability to lead meetings at station location periodically. Other related duties include: * Self-starter and makes decisions independently. * Strong attention to detail and high ethical standards. * Proactive in identifying and solving problems of high complexity. * Strong organizational skills and analytical / logical approach. * Ability to synthesize diverse information (technical, schedule, and cost) and exercise good judgment. * Proficient in Excel and financial systems * What soft skill requirements do you have (team fit and personality requirements)? o Strong communication skills both verbal and written * Nice to Have Skills: o SAP, Excel, Power Query High Level Project Overview: * Serve as Cost Analyst to support Project Managers with multi-million dollar capital projects. Preferred Years of Experience: * For now I'd be open to all options as long as they've obtained a bachelor degree.
