Application Window Open date: July 11, 2025 Next review date: Sunday, Aug 10, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Jan 11, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description PEDIATRIC PHYSIATRIST ACADEMIC POSITION The University of California, San Francisco, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is recruiting for a board-eligible or board-certified Pediatric Physiatrist with experience in neuromuscular care, including but not limited to Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, chemodenervation, Intrathecal Baclofen Pump Management and electrodiagnostics, in an academic or multispecialty setting. The selected candidate will participate in departmental clinical teaching and research activities at the Orthopaedic Institute at our Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland and at Mission Bay. The selected candidate will be expected to collaborate in clinical and/or basic research as well as publish subsequent results in peer-reviewed journals. The incumbent will also teach clinically relevant topics for residents as well as medical students and fellows. Requirements:
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay, determined by academic rank and step at the time of appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $149,700. This position is governed by the UC Health Sciences Compensation Plan, APM-670 (https://ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf), which allows for eligibility for negotiated additional compensation. As such, the total negotiated salary (including base and negotiated components) can be significantly higher and can range up to $900,000, depending on individual qualifications, clinical productivity, and other factors assessed at the time of offer.
