Full Time (40 hours/week); M-F

Job Description Summary:

Performs diagnostic procedures provided by the Non-Invasive Diagnostics Department.Assists with all paperwork aspects of exercise testing procedures including scheduling, chart preparation, and report formation.Supports the Exercise Physiologist with patient preparation, testing, Pulmonary Function Testing, collection of vital signs, and laboratory cleaning and disinfecting procedures. Scans, analyzes and tracks heart monitoring devices.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:
  • Assists Exercise Physiologist(s) in conducting diagnostic tests.
  • Appropriately prepares for testing procedures; explains procedures to patients and communicates effectively with the patients regarding condition.
  • Records information obtained from diagnostic tests accurately.
  • Possess moderate knowledge of arrhythmia recognition to identify, document and advise with rhythm disturbances.
  • Performs basic cardiac testing procedures according to test requests; and operates cardiac testing equipment in accordance with organizational protocols and principles.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or equivalent training that supports the functions of this position.


Licensure Requirement:

Certifications:

CPR, PALS & ACLS preferred.


Skills:

Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work with patients of all ages (pediatric to adult).

Ability to function with flexibility and adaptability to an ever changing and fast paced environment.


Experience:

Two years relevant experience preferred.
