General Summary



  • Process NDT and API inspection results in company designed spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Process NDT results on power and recovery boilers using a company designed software program.
  • Produce basic two-dimensional AutoCAD drawings to accompany formal NDT/API reports.
  • Combine final formal report in Adobe Acrobat.


Essential Job Functions



  • Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern
  • Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM's Core Values
  • Evaluates and processes API inspection and non-destructive testing results by using company designed spreadsheets and programs to produce accurate results
  • Transforms field sketches of equipment into AutoCAD drawings
  • Compiles a professional and accurate formal report for each inspection assigned
  • Assists with proper documentation and reports of services provided
  • Verifies entered data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data
  • Handles and fields incoming telephone calls as necessary
  • Maintains administrative operations by following policies and procedures, and notifying operations management of significant information as needed
  • Performs timekeeping administrative duties for assigned field personnel


Job Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Advanced computer experience required specifically working with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Typing speed of 30 wpm or higher required
  • Experience using AutoCAD or similar drafting software preferred but not required
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to work under time constraints, good interpersonal skills and a high degree of initiative is required
  • Ability to read technical documents and engineering specifications preferred
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks and respond to short notice work assignments which requires occasional out of town and overnight travel preferred but not required
  • Ability to communicate with clients, supervisor, and co-workers
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Ability to follow precise directions and procedures required
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing schedule required
  • Previous ERP experience preferred
  • Travel requirement 0% - 25%


Work Conditions



  • Position is located at the Lafayette, LA office with work conducted in a semi-private office/cubicle setting
  • Most aspects of job duties will be performed in an office environment.
  • Some aspects of field duties will be performed in an outdoor work environment in a plant atmosphere.
  • Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel
  • Occasional work in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
  • May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis
  • Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the core work hours of 9:30 am to 3:30 pm
