Health Data Scientist

Job Description

Participates in providing methodological, statistical and manuscript development technical assistance to investigators in medical and surgical departments. Writes scientific and program grants; assists end-user community with IRB applications report requests and data analysis; prepares reports for management and medical research projects and submits such reports to management for review. Utilizes computer programs for data management and statistical analyses. May work independently on assigned projects.

Job Responsibility

• Provides methodological and statistical technical assistance to investigators on assigned research studies.
• Assists investigators with application process.
• Assists investigators with manuscript development.
• Assists end-user community with report requests and data analysis.
• Prepares reports for management and medical research projects and submits to management for review.
• Utilizes statistical software programs for data management and statistical analysis.
• Analyzes data and creates reports using statistical tools.
• Develops executive summaries.
• Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.

Job Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
• R and/or Python for statistical programming
