Summary: The main function of an operations manager is ensuring that the different departments in the company follow through with the plans and devises he/she makes for the business's success. This leader has the responsibility for strategic development and program operational support for Retail Go-to Market Activities. You will work with GTM Strategy & Planning team on the planning, execution and evaluation of product launches. You will be responsible for stakeholder management; project planning including milestone management; and risk and issue management. Responsibilities:
- Direct the activities of the various departments in the company and is concerned with pricing, sales, production and distribution of the company's products.
- Responsible for managing the employees, creating their work schedules and distributing their duties.
- Determine employment requirements as well as interviews and hires prospective employees.
- An operations manager also trains the newly hired employees.
- Manage all the activities that are associated with the production of the products the company offers.
- Responsible for managing the performance of the employees such as sales promotions, coordinating with different division leads, planning the layout and design of the store, and setting the prices and credit terms, as well as identifies goods and services to be sold.
- Supervise the remodeling of current the amenities and represent the company during client meetings and negotiations.
- Handle problems in a calm and collected manner, even when under pressure.
- Be a strategic partner to assist in shaping and driving the GTM strategy for launches, including goal setting and measurement, and identification of gaps and opportunities to focus
- Ensure the successful implementation of program strategy, objectives, targets, and deliverables by closely collaborating with Retail, Product, and Marketing
- Adopt changes to address changing market conditions and evolving business
- Establish frameworks and standards for Program and Project Management
- Manage and/or compile Program related KPI's
- Ensure cross-program dependencies are managed and the dependency log is accurately maintained
- Define and embed project control and governance
- Provide Project planning and management, Milestone management, Scope management, Change Management across the project portfolio
- Preparing slides communicating findings in a succinct and visual manner
- Communicate regularly and closely with HQ, Head of Departments and Business Managers regarding information related to products as required to ensure effective and timely support
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Strategy & Planning, Product Management, Merchandising, Sales or Marketing Management experience
- Experience with payroll processing and wage attachment
- 5-7 years of Experience
- Proven ability to successfully bring products to market and providing strategic guidance and operational oversight to GTM Strategy
- Ability to communicate effectively and craft compelling narratives to influence business and tactical stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, including ability to operate in ambiguity and establishing frame works that apply to emerging business problems
- Strong organization and execution skills, including ability to operate independently and drive strategic initiatives from ideation to end results
- Experience with top retailer or consumer electronics strongly preferred
- Will need to be results oriented, seek empowerment, inquisitive, and possess versatile communication styles
- Ability to influence, lead, motivate and direct the activities cross functional resources and support groups to attain objectives, establish project schedules and execute within specified timeline
- Constantly curious, leading by example to ensure research, insights and data analytics drives our understanding of the customer and their needs
- Demonstrated experience in presentations, story-telling and sound bites
- Self-starter, high level of energy, motivation and ability to work independently, mobilize teams into action and manage multiple projects with demanding platforms
