Salary commensurate with applicant qualifications and experience; percentage of appointment commensurate with courses assigned. The candidate will teach weekly violin lessons for violin majors, including both Performance and Music Education majors; students will range from first-year undergraduate up through Master of Music and DMA level. Some applied instruction of the violin students will be shared (rotational) with other violin faculty. Additionally, string chamber music coaching may be added to the workload depending on the String Area's need. Must attend and adjudicate student juries during finals week. Lesson scheduling is arranged privately with each student. Applicants should have at least four years of experience teaching, as well as expertise and experience in the principles of pedagogy and performance. A DMA degree is preferred.
