Infrastructure Support (iSupport) Engineer

Atlas Tech, a rapidly expanding company supporting the US Military and other Government entities, is seeking a passionate, flexible, highly motivated team player to join our group of Information Technology professionals. The Infrastructure Support Engineer provides 24x7 Tier I/II help desk support for all tenants in the Defense Health Agency (DHA) network. You will work with other Tier I/II engineers in the network security operations center.

**THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION IN SAN ANTONIO, TX**

You Will:



  • Triage issues and resolving and/or escalating to the appropriate network teams for remediation
  • Engage with internal and external customers to provide status updates on network issues
  • Troubleshoot issues with a variety of different network devices and protocols
  • Work in a team setting and make recommendations related to troubleshooting, device configuration, and documentation
  • Document projects, support actions, and other administrative artifacts to serve as reference material for related support activities and management staff
  • Ensure incidents and service requests adhere to established service level agreements
  • Support "on-site" 5 days a week 2nd shift (2PM-10:30PM) Joint Base San Antonio, TX. JBSA Fort Sam Houston.


You Have:



  • U.S. Citizenship
  • A minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Active Secret level Security Clearance
  • 5+ years relevant experience in supporting a large network infrastructure
  • A strong working knowledge of Cisco Routers/Switches, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Virtual Private Network devices
  • A good understanding of TCP/IP regarding routing and subnetting
  • Experience with the following Network protocols and services:

    • Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP)
    • Access Control Lists
    • Layer 2 Switching
    • Spanning Tree
    • Packet Analysis


  • Good written and oral communications skills
  • A can-do team player attitude that can work under pressure and prioritize tasking
  • Willingness and ability to work shifts to cover 24x7 operational environment


Certification:



  • IAT Level II

    • Security Certification (Security+ CE, CCNP Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SCCP)
    • Cisco OS Certification (CCNA or CCNP)
