Responsibilities

The HR Operations Supervisor leads the Human Resources Coordinator team. This role oversees the effective pre-boarding and onboarding of new hires, compliance with processes and personnel files, auditing, and data management processes. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to multi-task and redirect resources as needed, a thorough understanding of HR functions especially HR systems, and the ability to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.

  • Supervise and mentor HR Coordinators, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development and performance.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with the creation of training materials and deployment of new/updated processes.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring that all pre-employment paperwork and requirements are completed accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate with various departments to facilitate a smooth transition for new employees, maintaining onboarding checklists and following up to ensure a positive experience.
  • Reallocate team resources based on business need.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits of employee records and HR processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Identify areas for improvement in HR processes and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the accurate entry and maintenance of employee data in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and other databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Generate reports as needed for management and other departments, providing insights into HR metrics and compliance status.
  • Assist with various HR projects and initiatives, supporting the HR team in maintaining a positive workplace culture and promoting employee well-being.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to align HR coordination efforts with organizational goals and strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR coordination or a related field, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations, with a proven track record in compliance management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS software, with excellent data management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation for this role ranges from X-X per hour depending on education and experience.
