Title: Off Campus Testing Assistant Department: Testing & Assessment Services Campus Location: Off campus Salary Range: $17/hour Work Mode: This position requires regular in-person presence on campus and at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other assigned duties. Hours Per Week:16 hours per week - This position is from September through May. Position Type:Hourly and Temporary, Non-Exempt Position Summary The Off Campus Testing Assistant will support the programming of the Off Campus Testing Coordinator by providing information sessions and administering placement testing in Anne Arundel County high schools. The Off Campus Testing Assistant must keep exam security at the forefront of their work while providing excellent customer services to a diverse population. This position must be comfortable working with high school students in the school setting and have some basic classroom management skills. Additionally, the person in this position must have a high level of comfort with computer systems and be able to independently trouble shoot issues on the spot. Note: in person work is an essential function of this position. Job Duties and Responsibilities * Conduct workshops with students in AVID, Signature, and PRD programs to prepare them for testing Required Qualifications: Associate of Arts degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Customer service experience required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products and a high level of comfort with learning and using different computer software and web based applications. Ability to work with minimal supervision with attention to detail. Ability and willingness to deal effectively with students, teachers, and community members while providing exemplary customer service. Ability and willingness to work flexible hours when school is in session. Must have reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and be willing to travel to high schools throughout Anne Arundel County. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with students in an educational setting. |
