Our NC facility is temperature-controlled by HVAC. JOB DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY Plans and prepares detailed production plan and schedules for assigned products. Works with the Plant Manager in machine loading and job sequencing that enables manufacturing to meet production requirements and maintain customer service levels. Responsible for the translation of the sales forecast into an attainable production plan consistent with specified company operation and financial goals, including the release for production orders to the factory based on sales orders, the analysis of stock levels, work in process and anticipated business forecast as well as the assignment of customer due dates. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for the constant maintenance of effective planning consistent with the proper use of resources and is responsible for reviewing all planning commitments to customer service.
- Responsible for the development of the monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals as well as reporting the production performance of these goals. This position is also responsible for the maintenance of the planning parameters and appropriate lead-time in the AS400 and Manufacturing system to supply ales/customer service with accurate information.
- Responsible for the effective use of the ERP system and maintaining the availability of A, B, and C inventory class items.
- Draws up manufacturing method master schedule to establish sequence and lead-time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
- Provides customer service with accurate estimations of booked capacity to allow accurate quoting of customer lead-times.
- Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
- Plans and schedules workflow for applicable department operations according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
- Maintains job related data and reports.
- Works to improve systems, tools, automations, and procedures in the Planning and Forecasting areas.
- Provides other departments with production completion forecasts when required.
- Responsible for raw material work and work in process availability to meet expected demand.
- Confers with department Supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
- Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Follows all company safety rules and regulations.
- Follows all established company policies and procedures.
- Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, and dependable in order to meet the needs of the department and the organization.
- Execute each essential duty satisfactorily in order to perform job successfully.
- Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.

- Five years' experience in production planning or similar with strong working knowledge of MRP planning systems.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic computation, algebra, geometry, and logic.
- Ability to analyze practical problems and a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
