ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP is looking for a Project Success Leader to join our Public Sector Southwest team. This role is preferred to work in an ESG Southwest office location which includes Albuquerque, NM; Littleton, CO; or Rockwall, TX. This position may also be remote, but the candidate should reside in the Southwest Region (CO, TX, NM). The position requires travel up to 50%, including overnight stays.

The ideal candidate for this position must have outstanding leadership, decision-making and problem-solving skills. This individual must thrive in an innovative, dedicated, and collaborative company culture. This individual will be responsible for supporting all daily project activities to meet customer expectations, achieve business unit goals and maximize profitability.

The essential functions of the position include:



  • Actively support the engineering, construction, and commissioning teams on all projects
  • Identify and promptly address project and company-level risks
  • Lead in the preparation and oversight of all project risk assessments company wide
  • Ensure identified risks and action plans are carried out in a timely manner
  • Carefully review all project construction contracts and identify potential risk items
  • Coordinate with project teams to conduct timely project reflection meetings to identify the lessons learned and develop action plans to address risks moving forward
  • Develop a deep understanding of project funding opportunities such as C-PACE, EaaS, Grants, and others
  • Develop a deep understanding of state and local C-PACE programs
  • Support business development activities to generate new opportunities, increase sales, gain market share, deliver projects within budget, and improve overall business unit profitability
  • Assist with the successful development, organization, strategic positioning, preparation, and issuance of winning proposals and presentations
  • Attend project pre-bid meetings, review RFP and procurement documents, and carefully evaluate opportunities to support go/no-go decisions
  • Assist in the development and structuring of partnership agreements and oversight of development and partner progress
  • Drive collaboration across the organization to identify needs and develop scalable solutions
  • Identify opportunities to maximize the company's operating performance and achieving its financial goals
  • Ensure that projects consistently meet internal and external deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned


Your background includes:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction, Engineering, or equivalent field of study
  • Five or more (5+) years of industry experience
  • Exemplary project management skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • An innovative and motivational mentality
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) preferred
  • Knowledge of performance contracting, design-build construction, and delivery of projects to the MUSH and private commercial markets
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
