Position Summary

Exciting Opportunity: Custodian
Are you an early riser who takes pride in creating clean,
safe, and welcoming spaces? Do you enjoy working independently and as part of a
team in a dynamic environment? The University of New Mexico is looking for enthusiastic
individuals to join our Custodial Services team for the 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM
shift, Monday through Friday, with opportunities available in both UNM Health
Sciences Center (HSC) Facilities Management Custodial and Main Campus
Facilities Management Custodial.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Custodian, you will: Perform general custodial duties
including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and restroom cleaning. Restock paper and
soap supplies and empty trash receptacles. Operate custodial equipment and perform
routine maintenance on tools and supplies. Unlock and secure doors as needed
during cleaning. Report maintenance needs and supply levels to supervisors.
Promote safety and environmental best practices in all tasks. Assist in
training new custodial staff on standard procedures. Perform seasonal or
project-based cleaning tasks as assigned. Provide access to vendors and report
any issues to supervisors. Assist with snow removal and minor maintenance tasks
such as replacing light bulbs or adjusting furniture. Perform other job-related
duties as assigned.

Oportunidad Emocionante: Personal de Limpieza (Custodio)

Eres una persona madrugadora que se enorgullece de crear

Universidad de Nuevo Mexico esta buscando personas entusiastas para unirse a
nuestro equipo de Servicios de Limpieza para el turno de 4:00 a.m. a 12:30
p.m., de lunes a viernes, con oportunidades disponibles tanto en el
Departamento de Mantenimiento de Instalaciones del Centro de Ciencias de la
Salud (HSC) como en el del Campus Principal.

Responsabilidades Clave:

Como Custodio, deberas:

  • Realizar tareas generales de limpieza, incluyendo
    desempolvar, trapear, aspirar y limpiar banos.
  • Reabastecer suministros de papel y jabon, y vaciar los
    recipientes de basura.
  • Operar equipos de limpieza y realizar mantenimiento
    rutinario de herramientas y suministros.
  • Abrir y asegurar puertas segun sea necesario durante la
    limpieza.
  • Informar a los supervisores sobre necesidades de
    mantenimiento y niveles de suministros.
  • Promover practicas seguras y ecologicas en todas las tareas.
  • Ayudar en la capacitacion del nuevo personal de limpieza en
    los procedimientos estandar.
  • Realizar tareas de limpieza estacional o por proyectos segun
    se asignen.
  • Proporcionar acceso a proveedores y reportar cualquier
    problema a los supervisores.
  • Ayudar con la remocion de nieve y tareas menores de
    mantenimiento como reemplazo de bombillas o ajuste de muebles.
  • Realizar otras tareas relacionadas con el puesto segun se
    asignen.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

Less than high school; no previous experience required.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
