This Position reports to:

EVP - Marketing & Communications

Your role and responsibilities:

The Events and Tradeshows Lead is a high-visibility role within ABB. The right candidate will possess expertise in all aspects of tradeshows and events planning, marketing and execution, as well as innovative solutions to enhance the impact of brand visibility and customers relationship. They will increase visibility and productivity through positive relations with internal and external stakeholders.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Act as a single point of contact between ABB and tradeshow organizations and events' vendors. Provide oversight, management and day-of support for onsite and offsite events including tradeshows, summits, town halls, seminars, press conferences, hospitality events, incentive travels and show cases
  • Manage the development of marketing and promotional material to support trade shows and events such as, but not limited to logo artwork, company/product descriptions, graphics, various print and digital collateral, giveaways
  • Work cross functionally with Marcom, Sales, Product Management and Executive Leadership to develop event's objectives, key messages, products to be featured, and the scope of work
  • Managing and reporting events and tradeshows budget across different divisions in turn, creating, monitoring, and communicating event timelines and schedules for event deliverables. Analyze and evaluate event performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary to overcome customer's expectations
  • Work collaborative with other team members for all events deliverables including but not limited to lead management, PR, travel accommodations, audio visual and handout material for participants

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) in events management, marketing, or equivalent with minimum 2-years of experience in B2B tradeshows and events (either in corporate organizations or events agency) - required.
  • Must have strong attention to detail, accuracy and possess effective time and organizational skills and ability to communicate with external vendors, internal stakeholders, and colleagues of all management levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines and guidelines, while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must have ability to travel domestically (mainly) and internationally 60-70% of the time

Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
