Job Description
This position will develop and lead community-focused initiatives that meaningfully and measurably advance corporate citizenship, BCBSNC brand, and BCBSNC business objectives in the Charlotte market. Responsible for developing strategic relationships and aligning targeted community centric initiatives with overall BCBSNC business objectives. Through integration with other internal partners, this person will develop, implement and monitor strategies for the success of BCBSNC business objectives and issues. A great deal of relationship management and community engagement will be expected to educate stakeholders on issues and create grassroots advocacy. This position works closely with Sales and Marketing, BCBSNC leadership, and other business focused divisions, as well as the BCBSNC Foundation and key businesses and community based organizations to develop and successfully implement projects/programs. Requires close working relationships with a vast network of local thought leaders and community stakeholders including Chambers, elected officials, economic development, businesses, non-profits, faith-based, and media contacts. This position will serve as the primary BCBSNC contact for Community Relations in the Charlotte/Mecklenburg county area.

- Build and implement strategic, community-focused initiatives thatserve dually adjudicated and justice involved youth andadvance Blue Cross NC's brand and businessobjectives, member outreach, retention activities, and cultural sensitivity initiatives for health plans.
- Strategies will include but are not limited to maximizing accessibility and quality health care for community members. Work to understand emerging issues regarding healthcare and carry out community investment.
- Work between Blue Cross NC's Medicaid Standard Plan, Healthy Blue, and the Children and Families Specialty Plan, Healthy Blue Care Together, to meet the needs of enrolled children, youth, families and caregivers.
- Develop a comprehensive continuum of community-based services and resources appropriate to the individual needs of court-involved parents and families.
- Serves as liaison between the Treatment Court, government agencies, and community providers
- Work in close collaboration with Juvenile Justice case managers and community or contracted treatment providers.
- Serve as an information source to the Judicial Bench, contract attorneys, and others on the Family Treatment Court process.
- Update Family Treatment Court database on a frequent basis.
- Complete case documentation as well as contact notes.
- May be assigned the development, implementation, and management of special projects and/or various programmatic activities.
- Manage policies and procedures, and oversee projects and program, ensuring deliverables and objects are met.
- Establish an integrated service delivery system through collaborations with stakeholders and community partners, specifically substance abuse treatment providers.
- Assist in developing community appropriateoutreach and marketing materials that are representative of enrolled populations.
- Provide education on a variety of court involved topics to improve relationship building, marketing strategies and product offerings.
- Attending,supportingand hostingin-community events asappropriate.
- This role requires the ability to travel and work non-traditional hours such as some evenings and weekends. As requested, you will obtain and prepare reports for court review and attend/participate in Treatment Court hearings.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (whererequired)
- 5+ years of experience in related field
- In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field
