SIH-MAINTENANCE TECH II

General Purpose of Job:

Performs a variety of duties as directed by supervisor in and around all hospital-owned facilities. Assists tradesman and fellow workers in completing tasks. Monitors, maintains and does (minor) mechanical, plumbing and electrical repairs to the facility's complexes and equipment. Follows all policies and works as part of a team to promote and further the goals of the hospital and community.

Essential Duties:

This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Associates may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.

• Facilitates minor repairs in a timely and adequate manner to all equipment and structures.
• Monitors and maintains all record and log books as required by governing bodies and hospital management.
• Cleans, waxes, and paints as instructed by supervisor.
• Removes trash, collects and disposes of Bio Hazard Material properly per Hospital policy.
• Provides delivery service as needed and runs errands as required by hospital management.
• Monitors equipment and facilities to facilitate preventative maintenance in a timely manner.
• Performs security and safety functions in and around the facility as required by hospital management.
