Job Title: Superintendent Reports To: Operations Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Location: Jacksonville, FL Manson Construction Co. was founded in 1905 as a small pile-driving business supporting the early development of Seattle's waterfront. Summary The Superintendent is tasked with supervising and coordinating all activities on site. This position demands extensive experience in construction management and strong leadership skills. The Superintendent is responsible for effectively scheduling and coordinating materials, subcontractors, personnel, and equipment to insure the safe completion of the project at the specified quality. Must be a leader and champion for safe working conditions and work practices; commitment to hazard recognition and control must be obvious and unrelenting. The Superintendent's leadership is always demanded on site during construction hours. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Location The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Main office in the Eastern United States is in Jacksonville, FL. Projects tend to be in the Gulf and East Coast region, but can range from Brownsville, Texas to Baltimore, Maryland. Physical Demands Position is primarily a field position, and will require travel, including visits and monitoring of construction job sites. Employee must be able to wear the personal protective equipment (PPE) required of various construction work environments (hard hats, personal floatation devices, safety glasses, gloves, safety-toed shoes, respirators, etc. The employee is required to stand, walk, use stairs, ladders, and step stools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or up to 50 pounds. Must be able to navigate stairs, ladders and gangways, board, work on and disembark floating vessels and structures. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
