This Chief of Staff position will support the Senior Vice President of the CSO Operations (Chris Flood) in the Verizon Consumer Group, reporting to the Senior Director - Program & Project Management (Tina Walton) and will be focusing on strategic planning, program management, and coordination of resources for highly impactful programs.

What you'll be doing:

Responsibilities:

C-Level Stakeholdering & Executive Communication:

  • Creating executive presentations, including developing the organizational narrative.

  • Providing strategic recommendations to senior leaders on key strategic business decisions.

  • Proven ability to interact with all levels of management.

  • Skillful at influencing without direct authority.

  • Adept at working strategically and collaboratively across direct report teams & functional partners.

  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.

  • Practiced at protecting Senior Leader time.

Organization & Program Management:

  • Managing projects surrounding executive readouts and key initiatives from the leadership team.

  • Managing team facilitation by maintaining team governance for Operation Reviews, Staff meetings, and other key executive meetings.

  • Leading varied ad hoc projects that require coordination across the senior executive team.

  • Managing the CSO leadership document repository.

  • Developing streamlined processes and improving templates/formats to ensure succinct communication across the team and to business/channel partners.

  • Managing matters relating to operations, including budget management, contract/vendor management, resource management, culture, communications, and real estate.

  • Experience managing large complex projects involving multiple work streams and stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to create and execute governance frameworks and strategic planning.

Strategic Planning:

  • Planning strategies across Verizon Consumer Group CSO, including developing an organizational framework and coordinating back with the Leadership team.

  • Strategic and analytical ability; skilled at collecting and analyzing data to make appropriate process/business decisions/recommendations.

This role requires VCG in-office days of 3x per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday).

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience or specialized training

  • Experience in establishing and cultivating cross-functional partnerships.

  • Experience managing large, complex projects involving multiple work streams and stakeholders.

  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Masters degree.

  • Project Management Professional certification

  • Proven ability to create effective short- and long-term Business strategies.

  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

  • Experience in communications - verbal and written.

  • Strategic and analytical ability; skilled at collecting and analyzing data to make appropriate process/business decisions/recommendations.

  • Self-starter that learns and adapts quickly to new systems, software and hardware.

  • Excellent organization and time-management skills.

  • Ability to deal with conflict and bring about resolution.

  • Ability to interact with all levels of management.

  • Ability to organize around a problem and engage various teams to solve the challenge.

  • Prior experience with developing executive-level deliverables (SVP level).

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours. The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $108,000.00 - $188,000.00.
