Part-Time French Teacher

The Lawrenceville School announces an opening for a Part-Time French teacher. We are seeking an enthusiastic, collegial individual who wants to work with other highly motivated faculty and students in a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive boarding school environment. The Lawrenceville Language Department supports students as they become citizens of the global community: the curriculum is designed to develop capacities to understand other cultures and peoples through the beauty and power of their languages.

Typical responsibilities include the following:

• Teach two to three sections per trimester.

• Bachelor's degree in French, with the ability to teach French.
• Ability to teach all levels, introductory to honors (college-level).
• Demonstrated success planning and facilitating collaborative, student-centered classes.
• At least two years of high school teaching experience.
• A passion for teaching the French language.
• A passion for working with high school-age students.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication (oral and written) abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently, as needed and appropriate.
• Demonstrated success with the effective incorporation of technology in the learning process, including language labs.
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Google suite and Microsoft Office suite.
