Your Role

Mission:

To maintain and upgrade the internal control environment in order to protect the company's assets and safeguard and ensure that financial reporting and accounting matters are handled in a timely manner and in accordance with FAM and local statutory accounting practices.

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, support the Business Controller in performing business control tasks while being proactive in insuring that action plans are in place when necessary.

Responsible for the management and completion of all tasks related to the Company's general ledger. The completion of all tasks in compliance with policies, controls and procedures utilized by the Atlas Copco Group with regard to specific areas is essential to the success of this position.

Roles and Responsibilities:



  • Complete monthly/quarterly/annual accounting closing and reporting procedures in SAP, SAP BIBO and GPS, which includes posting monthly journals.
  • Manage day-to-day Company accounting issues.
  • Maintain the integrity and monthly reporting of intercompany transactions with other Atlas Copco Group companies.
  • Provide accounting support for the Business Controller and Vice President of Business Control.
  • Provide pertinent information and reports for use by all levels of management.
  • Ensure compliance to IFRS and Group Standards, Business Code of Practice.
  • Prepare monthly reports and reconciliations related to Other Accrued Costs including Rebates, Fixed Assets, Leased Assets, Accounts Receivable, Pre-Paid Accounts, Inventory, and Sales Tax.
  • Participate, as necessary, on special finance and accounting projects.
  • Assist with external and internal audits.
  • Work with SAP support to resolve system issues and confirm data and process changes are properly completed.





To succeed, you will need

Experience:

This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role in an industrial environment, as well as experience working with general accounting principles as represented in FAM.
Previous experience with SAP is strongly preferred.

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or a related major; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Skills:



  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels within the Company.
  • Able to maintain a high level of accounting knowledge, and to demonstrate the capacity to develop a solid understanding of our business software (SAP) as it relates to all financial transactions.
  • Assist when necessary in the preparation of Business Review and Board meetings.
  • Demonstrate strong skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Share knowledge with colleagues and actively work to raise the competence level of the group.
  • Self-motivated individual who is dedicated and willing to go the extra mile to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of both US GAAP and IFRS required.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
