BIM Operator

Operates computer aided design, AutoCAD MEP & Revit software preferred, and peripheral equipment to develop drawings which may include 3-D and manufacturing design detail, or both.

• High school diploma or GED

• One to two years technical training preferred.
• Drafting Course

  General knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  
  
• 
  

  Requires a positive attitude and the ability to orally communicate with internal and external customers.

  
  
• 
  

  Good punctuation, spelling, and grammar skills.

  
  
• 
  

  Basic knowledge of and ability to use architectural drafting tools.

  
  

• 
  

  Create quick actions utilizing the command language of the system to assist in drawing creation.

  
  
• 
  

  Utilize knowledge of mathematics in the preparation of drawings.

  
  
• 
  

  Perform routine assignments requiring a thorough knowledge of computer aided drafting system standards, practices and techniques.

  
  
• 
  

  Develop increased proficiency in system operation with a resulting increase in productivity and learn how to use all software options.

  
  
• 
  

  Review work order and procedural manuals to determine critical dimensions of design.

  
  
• 
  

  Calculate figures to convert design dimensions to resizing dimensions specified for subsequent production processes, using conversion chart and calculator.

  
  
• 
  

  Perform additional duties as assigned.

  
  

• Required to maintain a valid driver's license.

• Background check, credit check, MVR and drug screen may be required (will vary by position).
