Overview

Southeastern Computer Consultants, Inc. (SCCI) is searching for an outgoing, motivated professional to join our Strategy and Customer Engagement Team as a Customer Engagement Manager. The Customer Engagement Manager will be responsible for maximizing SCCI's probability of receiving contract awards for opportunities identified as critical to SCCI's ability to deliver value to our various stakeholders. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities:




  • Performing in-depth analysis and research into anticipated future solicitations to form a clear and complete understanding of the customers' requirements
  • Leading and managing the process of developing customer engagement plans to foster relationships with customers for specific opportunities and increase the customers' confidence in SCCI's ability to meet their requirements while delivering increased value
  • Identifying and assembling the internal and external resources necessary, including identification of third-party teammates to execute the customer engagement plans
  • Preparing and presenting opportunity reviews to senior management to communicate the progress toward achieving the objectives of each customer engagement plan
  • Developing win-themes, discriminators and proposal messaging
  • Assisting the Proposal Manager with proposal development, including participating in color team reviews and ensuring win-themes, customer knowledge and discriminators are incorporated
  • Supporting pricing strategy development
  • Participating in applicable continuous improvement projects across the customer engagement processes
  • Ensuring that all business is conducted in line with company values, policies and ethical codes of conduct


Essential Skills and Experience:



  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree or higher plus 7 years of business development/customer engagement experience within the defense industry
  • Must have a proven track record of successful capture in government contracting
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging with industry senior leaders and DoD clients
  • Proven management skills, including demonstrated ability to develop, manage and deliver winning campaigns and schedule and within budget
  • Strategic thinker, capable of building and maintaining critical relationships and maintaining productive communications across SCCI, the prospective customers and teammates
  • Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative - with the ability to recognize trends and perceive connections among information of different types and sources
