The Events Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of a wide range of college-wide events that support the mission and strategic goals of the college. The Events Coordinator will manage all aspects of event logistics, marketing, budgeting, and evaluation, and will serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Duties
-
Plan, coordinate logistics, execute, and evaluate college-wide events including but not limited to: employee convocation, internal faculty and staff functions, community engagement events, professional association meetings, and location filming.
Serve as liaison to vendors, community partners, and college departments involved in event planning.
Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
Ensure compliance with college policies, safety protocols, and accessibility standards.
Develop and maintain a master calendar of events in collaboration with campus departments and leadership.
Manage the Use of Facilities request and approval process for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to develop promotional materials, social media content, and event branding.
Recruit, train, and supervise student workers and volunteers for event support.

Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree event management, hospitality, communications, marketing, or a related field. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.
3 years experience in event planning or coordination.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and event management tools (e.g. Eventbrite, Canva). Regular travel to multiple campuses.

Preferred Qualifications

5 years event planning or coordination in a multi-campus community college setting.
Experience using generative AI tools.
