Key Responsibilities



  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct problems on production equipment, building systems, and utility infrastructure.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on a wide range of production equipment including electrical systems and components.
  • Submit change requests for equipment or process modifications, with supporting documentation showing improvements in reliability, quality, or performance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, repair logs, and spare parts records.
  • Develop and manage a spare parts inventory for components critical to plant operations.
  • Work closely with the technical team including maintenance and engineering staff to enhance technical knowledge and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Investigate recurring or chronic issues, implement root cause solutions, and contribute to preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Participate in the evaluation, installation, and commissioning of new equipment or upgrades.
  • Coordinate and supervise outside contractors performing service or maintenance on building utilities, fire suppression systems, HVAC, and related infrastructure.


Qualifications




  • Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • 4 to 6 years of hands-on maintenance experience required; 6 to 8 years preferred.
  • Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve issues in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Experience managing contractor work related to facility utilities and life safety systems.
  • Strong organizational skills for documentation, spare parts tracking, and reporting.


Preferred Knowledge and Skills




  • Familiarity with building and fire codes applicable to industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety practices.
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and numeric control systems.
  • Understanding of key facility utilities including fire suppression systems, compressed air, HVAC, and power distribution.

    Experience
    6 - 8 years: Preferably 6 to 8 years of position-related experience. (preferred)
    4 - 6 years: 4 to 6 years of position-related experience. (required)
